The Company

In 1998 Pál Frenák which had existed in France for a decade became a joint Hungarian-French company, based both in Budapest and Paris. Comprising a variety of classical and modern techniques the company’s profile stands for a unique style and dance language. one of its most important characteristics is the use of mimics, sign language and body movements that reflect on various egress (circus, theatre, fashion shows).

Emese Jantner

Emese Jantner

She was born in Budapest and learnt at the Pécs Danceart School. Two years later she was member of the National Theater in Pécs. From 1996 she was the dancer of the Middle-Europe Dancetheater. She was working with Bozsik Yvette Company several times. In the Pal Frenak Company she has been dancing since 1999. We could see her in Lakoma (Festen), Tricks & Tracks and KáOsz. In 1999 and 2000 she won the Fülöp Viktor Danceart scholarship. Between 2003-2006 she was studying and working in Paris. Since 2008 she is again member of the Pal Frenak Company.

Nelson Reguera

Nelson Reguera

Born in Santa Clara, Cuba, Nelson started dancing at age eleven at the National Dance School of Cuba. After graduating in 1997, he began work with Rosario Cardenas in company Danza Combinatoria. During his four years there, Nelson was promoted to principal dancer. In 2000, Nelson emmigrated to Australia and established his own company, Havana Beat with whom he performed and taught around New South Wales. After Caminando, a solo work in Sziget, film of ground choreographed by Nelson with mentor Sue Healey sponsored by the Australian Council for the Arts. Nelson works with the Pal Frenak Company since 2004 in Credo Hysterica, Fiuk, Frisson, Instinct, K.áO.sz!, Intime, Seven and k.Rush.

Marie-Julie Debeaulieu

Marie-Julie Debeaulieu

Born in Angoulême, she studied at the Centre National de la Danse in Paris, receiving degrees in dance and in contemporary dance education. Her mentors at the Parisian conservatoire include Christine Gerard, Peter Goss, Susan Alexander, Florence Vitrac, Andre Lafonta and Didier Silhol. She took part in the project entitled Dance in the Louvre, performing choreographies inspired by 18th century paintings. She also participated in a tour of South America, was a dancer in the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées and performed in the ensemble of Ramon Oller in Barcelona. In 2010, she joined the international Frenák Pál Company with which she made her debut in the play entitled InTimE, then continuing her series of successful performances with k.Rush.

László Major

László Major

The young and talented dancer attended the Győr Dance and Art General School, where he was learning classical and modern ballet. Two yers long he was the member of the Central Europe Dance Theatre, where he worked with such as great coreographers as József Hámor, Éva Duda, Anna Réti, Melinda Virág and Klára Pataky. In 2008 he cooperated with Budapest Dance Thetre. He has been dancing in the Frenak Pal Company since 2009 summer. He appeared in the K.áO.sz! celebrity performance, and we could see him in Twins, Seven and the new coreography k.Rush..

Peter Holoda

Peter Holoda

The talented and character moving dancer was born in Nagykanizsa in 1990. He got to know with the art and dance in Pécs, he started to study dance in the Art School of Pécs at age 14. He won the the Prize for the best school-leaver in 2008-2009 year. After his graduated he found his place in Pal Frenák Company. He took apart in the K.áO.sz! celebrity performance, and we could see him in Twins, Seven, InTimE and the new coreography k.Rush.

Jessica Simet

Jessica Simet

The young dancer joined the ensemble in 2010. Her career as a dancer started at the age of 14, when she took up ballet in Sweden. Her parents’ occupation as acrobats must have made a strong impression on the right people as only one year later she was admitted to the Estetiska Gymnasium in Stockholm, where she started studying dance, somewhat countering family traditions. She started a postgraduate course in Győr, Hungary, where she spent two years before moving to Budapest to complete her education in the Frenák Pál Company which she would later join. She performed several scenes in the shows InTimE and Seven but had to wait until k.Rush to get her first real part.

Erika Vasas

Erika Vasas

The young dancer took up dance when she was 5. She first mastered modern and show dance, winning the Hungarian championship several times and also stepping on the podium at a world championship. At the age of 10, she started studying classical ballet at the Hungarian Dance Academy and went on, four years later, to study dancing at the Fine Arts & Vocational School in Pécs. She has won several prizes and was tutored by such masters as Raza Hammadi, Oktávia Szigeti, Jossiph Tmim, Neel Verdoorn, Béla Földi, Katalin Lőrincz, Ádám Fejes and József Hámor. She met Pál Frenák while she was working together with Dali Tuiti on a production entitled “Body Landscape” and their acquaintance has blossomed into a wonderful working relationship.
