Blue Spring

Blue Spring is a special performance where one of the most important „elements” is the presence of the spectator. All events are – directly or indirectly – controlled by the audience. The renewing, transforming, strange phenomena appearing on the pure, puritan space of Blue Spring step forth from the shadow-world of human existence. We are confronted with our evil, unexplored, incomprehensible, negated selves driving us towards new essential dilemmas by their presence, their existence itself.
In this choreography, Pál Frenák focuses on taking a snapshot of the present polarized to the maximum, and attempts to approach our own intimate truth. Blue Spring is based on the trinity of brute force, wisdom and love: the solo dances are pieces of a mosaic which can be linked together but everyone is free to make their own reading of the independent elements of a uniform scenographic system. The choreographer uses the unique attributes and characteristics of the dancers to create a choreography which gives as realistic a picture of the present as possible.
